On September 1, 2020 the time had come again: a new apprenticeship year started at Fondsdepot Bank. For Celine Kiylioglu and Sarah Werner a new chapter in their professional lives began with the first day of their apprenticeship as office management clerks.
In the next 3 years, the two of them will pass through all the specialist departments of Fondsdepot Bank, take on a wide variety of tasks - from order processing to communication transmission - and gain a wide range of experience. In this way, they will not only acquire sound knowledge in the commercial field, but will also learn important skills in the financial services sector.
"What counts for us is commitment, a sense of responsibility and personality. The grade point average is only secondary," says personnel manager Olesia Hörner, apprenticeship officer of Fondsdepot Bank. "We train in order to cover our own demand for qualified, well-trained specialists and to bring fresh ideas and impulses into the company through junior staff. That's why the chances of being hired by us are very good. We are already accepting applications for the start of apprenticeship in 2021".
Celine and Sarah have already learned a lot on their first day. In addition to the necessary information about the course of the apprenticeship and the vocational school as well as the important internal training courses, the two got to know the current apprentices from the other apprenticeship years as well as some former apprentices of Fondsdepot Bank and the works council. During a guided tour of the headquarters in Hof, Upper Franconia, the new colleagues were able to make even more contacts. At the end of the day, they met their colleagues from the teams in which they will be deployed as apprentices for the first few weeks.
"The first day in the Fondsdepot Bank was really informative. I'm already excited about what the next few weeks will bring and look forward to getting to know a lot of new things," Celine remarked at the end of the day.
