Effective 1 July 2021, Robert Tursi will become the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Fondsdepot Bank. The position had been vacant since Sebastian Henrichs was promoted from CFO to Managing Director of the fund platform in June 2018. Henrichs had been performing the duties in a personal capacity. Henrichs explains the decision to fill the CFO position again as follows: "We want to reach the next level of professionalisation. This is not only about the usual topics such as accounting, but also about designing effective and efficient processes using state-of-the-art software."
"With Robert Tursi, we have gained a CFO who is very experienced in the finance industry and who has excellent know-how in the areas of controlling and accounting as well as in the implementation of digital transformation processes in finance," says Sebastian Henrichs and adds "In addition, he has already proven his abilities as a business navigator and in-house consultant on profitability and efficiency topics in a strongly growing company - a very important topic for our platform as well." With this personnel realignment, Sebastian Henrichs will continue to focus on the strategic issues of the company and direct his attention more towards customers and employees.
In his position, Robert Tursi will be responsible for Financial Accounting & Taxes, Financial Controlling and Regulatory Reporting. After six months, he will also become a member of the extended Executive Board as CFO.
After completing his studies in business administration, Robert Tursi, who is now 48 years old, initially gained experience in the area of controlling at Photo Porst AG. In 2000, he moved to the then Consors AG (now Consorsbank) and, after many years as Controller and Head of Controlling, including a distance learning course to become an International Accountant (IHK), he was responsible for the entire finance area as CFO from 2013 until 2018. Before moving to Fondsdepot Bank, Robert Tursi worked for almost 1 year at TeamBank AG in Nuremberg as Head of Finance and from January 2020 to June 2021 as Commercial Manager at a medium-sized company in Nuremberg.
