Christian Kröger is Digital Transformation Manager at Fondsdepot Bank In the newly created position, he will be a fundamental driver of the change process the bank has committed itself to in the coming years. The focus will be on the further development and alignment of the fund platform to current and future market needs.
One of his main tasks will be to specify the target operating model for Fondsdepot Bank and underpin it with the necessary initiatives and change processes. His new role covers a wide range of subjects with an interface function in every area of the bank. He brings the subjects together there for the Management Board.
The 35-year old had already made a decisive contribution to digital transformation at the building society Schwäbisch Hall. Furthermore, he previously developed and marketed online providers in the energy sector
Kröger has set a clear agenda for his new role, "In the financial sector we basically face three big challenges: On the one hand, the task is to realign the company to achieve a maximum client experience. This includes a comprehensive digital presence. In future, those who do not perform online will be irrelevant from a client point of view," believes to Kröger. "On the other, we need highly standardised and largely automated processes to counter the mounting cost pressure in the sector. It's about developing platforms so they can be scaled upwards affordably," explains Kröger. "The third point I see is handling disruption. New players, who are generating a completely new dynamism, are entering the market. This means that we have to constantly re-examine our business model and the interfaces to the affiliated sales organisations and advisors in order to survive in the increasingly fast innovation cycles."
Sabine Dittmann-Stenger, managing director and COO at Fondsdepot Bank: "Digital services form the basis of our business model, across the entire client life cycle. As a leading fund platform, it is very important to us to reproduce the entire bandwidth. We are concentrating on precisely these subjects with the newly created position. Christian Kröger is the ideal candidate, since he has comprehensive experience in the field of change and transformation processes in the financial sector and due to his personal and technical suitability fills out this role to the full."
