Hof. Schutzhöhle e.V. in Hof is committed to helping children who are threatened by sexualised violence or have already experienced it. The association's work has now been supported with a donation of 2,000 euros from the local Fondsdepot Bank, Germany's leading platform for the trading and holding of funds.
Especially in times of the Corona pandemic - with limited opportunities to be present in kindergartens and schools - prevention work suffers. Instead, there has been an increase in online contact. The knowledge of the currently very tense situation and the demanding counselling work cost the staff and volunteers of the association a lot of energy. "In order to draw new courage and to properly process what we have heard, supervision sessions and talks with experts take place at regular intervals. We cannot afford to take time off. This work is too important for that," says Yvonne Bänsch, chairwoman of the association, when handing over the donation.
Sabine Dittmann-Stenger, Managing Director of Fondsdepot Bank, is very touched by the association's commitment: "This donation is a matter close to our hearts. Affected children often suffer their whole lives from the bad experiences. Supporting people who dedicate themselves to such an important topic is a matter of course for us. This idea of support is firmly anchored in our corporate values. That is why we are supporting the shelter with a donation for the fifth year in a row."
Kindergartens and schools interested in prevention work on sexual violence against children can contact the association directly. Information is available at www.schutzhoehle.de.
